I've tried to locate, using Google Groups, posts I made to another
newsgroup. Its possible, but painfully so. I also tried web search,
not there. There are useful keywords in the subject line, but thats
not what shows up.

Yeah, its a suggestion, the no archive thing. On a second different
newsgroup, someone tried to tell me it was law. I asked for a quote
and link so I could abide by it. They didn't find it.
