Ammnio Dommini means "In the year of our Lord." it does not
meand After God. And B.C. does mean Before Christ. (Though
some secularist use B.C.E for Before Common Era.)
I think we can all agree that Christ was not born in A.D. 1 or
1 B.C. There are various estimates but most likely, he was born
around 5 or 6 B.C. (though I have seen good arguments for other
dates as well.) (Oh, btw, the correct form is "A.D. year" and
"year B.C." )
But, now that I have put in my two cents, let's drop the
century thing. It gets boring.
