| Ah yessss... There are many places where syntactic near-misses are still valid
| commands. Like the time I wanted to copy a couple of files from a friend's
| directory to mine. Using C-Shell, my command was intended to be
| cp friend/{a,b} .
| but my finger slipped and missed the "." so what I actually typed was
| expanded to
| cp friend/a friend/b
| and my friend's "b" file was replaced by his "a" file. Luckily, it wasn't too
| hard to reconstruct "b", but it did encourage him to reset his umask to 002
| so others couldn't write to his files.
I did this on e larger scale once - I have been using a suped-up make tool
for quite a while, and had caused it to look for files called Makefile.
This caused much confusion and we changed it to look for files called Mykefile.
Naturally I then had to rename all my makefiles, thus:
find src -type f -name Makefile -exec mv {} Mykefile ';' -print
I realised my mistake soon afterwards...
