My father's had a problem with too-small date fields. His credit union bounced checks even though he had enough money in the account. They traced down the problem, and found it. He had paid enough interest that the machine thought he had paid past the year 2000. Well... that was also the year 1900. So, since he hadn't paid any interest since 1930 or so, it froze his account. This was the credit union associated with a major computer company. It happened at least three times. BTW, anyone know what the military's spec is for how big a date field has to be? Please mail me since I may not have time to follow the group. -- Chris Phoenix | A harp is a nude piano. cpho...@csli.Stanford.EDU | "More input! More input!"
