Some smart-alek did the same thing to me at my first
job out of high school -- funny, every one else seemed
to deal with it, but he *had* to be a twink. So I wandered
over to his terminal (an ADM-3A, of course) with a black
marker and wrote ANY on his space bar.

Then I changed the prompt to "Press the ANY key to continue"
if and only if running from his account ... and only accepted
the space bar. :) :)
