TruTesT - the sensitivity smoke detector tester that reduces the maintenance costs The sensitivity of smoke detectors in a fire alarm installations are constantly affected by the environment. The sensitivity of the detector drifts and it will become more or less sensitive. If the sensitivity increases the risk for false alarm is also increased with all the costs that follow. If the sensitivity decreases instead, there is a risk that the alarm will be delayed or not activated at all. With TruTesT the detector can be tested without removing it from its base. The detector is tested with an increased amount of test gas and the test is stopped when the detector goes in to alarm. The control unit then displays the amount of smoke needed to trigger alarm. If the level is to low the detector is to sensitive, and if the level is to high the detector is under sensitive. ROKA Information is a company working with education, documentation and selling of tools for servicing of fire alarm systems. We also sell oil and chemical sorbents.
