Hi,

Firstly, where's the english version of this group? I can't find it... does not 
appear to be listed in my news server.

And if anyone who speaks english reads this group - There seems to be a bug in 
X11 where all apps which run under X11 will not print black ink from a Canon 
Pixma ip3000 printer... it will only print black by using a combination of 
cyan/magenta/yellow. This affects Linux x86 machines and Apple OS X machines 
which use X11 apps. Apps which run under the normal OS X environment or under 
any Windows OS will use the black ink cartridge for black printing. X11 apps 
will not even touch it, preferring instead to mix its own black out of the 
colour ink tanks.

Is there any fix for this? Is this problem limited to the Canon printer or is it 
common among all brands of printer with 4 ink tanks (CMYK)?
