Zaprawdę już nic nie rozumiem, SUN wypuścił Niagarę cytuję "Niagara is a 
fully-compliant SPARC v9 processor". Co za tym idzie na SPARC v9 instalujemy 
spokojnie solarisa 8 i 9, działa w koncu to UltraSparc.

Dla  przykładu w specyfikacji maszyn V210 i V240:  "Serwery Sun Fire V210 i 
V240 pracują pod kontrolą Solarisa 8 i 9"
Czy dobrze rozumiem, że Solarisa 8 "nie da się" zainstalować na tej 
platformie, czy nie działa stabilnie ?

ps. Z tego co wyczytałem to pozostaje "UltraSPARC IV+, dual-core AMD 
Opteron", aby mieć Solka 8
