Problem

     My hard disk seems to be full as reported by (df -v), or(du -s /). I
also get different messages
     such as:=20

     "No space on device 1/40" "Audit: warning: low free block on audit
device" "Low free block
     count"=20

Cause

     Assuming that the disk is not simply full of intentionally saved
data, the most likely cause is that
     system auditing has been "ON" and a large number of audit related log
files have occupied
     space on the disk.=20

Solution

     Disable auditting by issuing the command:=20

     /tcb/bin/auditcmd -d=20

     To remove audit files that you do not want to save:=20

     rm /tcb/files/audit/CAF*=20

     and=20

     rm /tcb/audittmp/CAF* rm /tcb/audittmp/CF* rm /tcb/audittmp/audit1/*
rm /tcb/audittmp/audit2/*=20

     and from any other directory that had been specified to collect audit
trails.=20
