If I understand your question correctly, you had a harddisk with data on
it in a form other than a Novell partition (i.e. DOS, NT or OS/2).  You
then installed Netware 4.11 and setup the netware volume on this
harddisk.  If this is the case, your old data is gone since Netware
writes volume data in the partition during the setup process thereby
destroying the FAT table and other critical information.  Sorry for the
bad news.
