Dear reader,

Yesterday I already ask about this problem and a few guys answered me
thanx! but.....

I had done the purge (/a) a few times and I'm not running out of disk space
(the second harddisk drive of 2.1Gb's is brandnew and almost empty).

The situation which works fine was:

32Mb of internal memory (offcourse I did 'register memory 1000000 1000000')
1Gb HDD (Seagate / SCSI)

but... we needed more HDD space ...

So I added:

16Mb of internal memory (and again I did 'register memory 1000000 2000000')
(at the novell consule the memory command gives: 48Mb internal memory)
2,1Gb HDD (Seagate / SCSI)
(I added this new HDD to the existing SYS: volume)

There is nothing wrong with this right?

So .... tell me what to do .........

p.s. I didn't use the patches (312PT8) on this server, I've looked at the
..TXT file which was enclosed and I didn't found something which looked
usefull for me .... but I can be wrong).


Here's the problem (situation) again:

At my job I've got the following problem with a Novell 3.12 server!
Every 5 seconds the File server beeps and screams the following:
 
1.1.138 Insufficient directory space (or memory) to preserve
SYS:********.*** during file erase.

I've looked at the Novell manuals but they say: Buy yourself some more
internal memory ...
But:
The computer I'm talking about is:

Pentium 90Mhz
48Mb intern memory
Fast SCSI II PCI controller
1Gb 	SCSI HDD (Seagate)
2,1Gb	SCSI HDD (Seagate)
(so 3,1Gb in total)
SCSI CDROM (650Mb)

Software loaded:

PSERVER.NLM
SWEEP.NLM (anti virus)
MERCURY (SMTP/POP)
OS2 support (for W95 long file names)
TCP-IP and IPXSPX

also loaded:

REMOTE
RSPX

at last:

REMOVE DOS (for more free memory)

What's wrong here?
