Witam grupowiczow!! Problem jest taki: mam dysk, powiedzmy 120G. Na pierwszych, powiedzmy 30G jest w2k lub xp. Na pozostalej czesci dysku chcialbym zainstalowac jakiegos unix-a. Pytanie, jakiego, i czy w ogole w takiej sytuacji da sie jakiegos zainstalowac? Slyszalem, ze FreeBSD mozna, a np. OpenBSD niebardzo, bo / musi byc zainstalowany w pierszych 8G dysku. Jak z tym sobie radzi np. Solaris, bo zastanawiam sie nad 10? Moze jakies ciekawe linki? Dzieki za info. pozdr adi Ps.: Chodzi o darmowe unix-y dzialajace na platformie x86.

This means that on some older i386 systems, the root partition must be completely within the first 504M, but newer computers may have limits of 2G, 8G, 32G, 128G or more. It is worth noting that many relatively new computers which support larger than 128G drives actually have BIOS limitations of booting only from within the first 128G. You can use these systems with large drives, but your root partition must be within the first 128G. --
