Zainstalowałem na serwerze Debiana 3.0 na jądrze 3.4.20
Połączenie z internetem z serwera jest podwarunkiem ze w
/etc/network/interfaces/ ustawie gateway tak jak ip nadany przez tpsa, lub
wogle nie wpisze żadnego gateway. Nie wiem czy to dobrze.
sieć wew. działa zawsze. Modem his podłączony pod com1

vi /etc/network/interfaces/
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
        address 162.198.255.1
        netmask 255.255.255.0
        network 162.198.255.0
        broadcast 162.198.255.255

auto ppp0

po ustawieniu maskarady i uruchomieniu wywala mi
modprobe: Can't locate module ip_tables
iptables v1.2.6a: can't initialize iptables table `filter': iptables who?
(do you need to insmod?)
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.

Jak mam uruchomić iptables by to poszło
maskarade ustawiłem według http://www.baseciq.org/linux/masq

mniemam ze 2.4.20

nie masz po prostu tych modulow.
przekompiluj jadro dodajac obsluge tego i owego (netfilter)
