Witam, Mam serwer L3000. Niechcacy przelaczylem go w tryb 'remote' - swieci sie pomaranczowa dioda oznaczona jako 'remote'. Z tego powodu konsola zupelnie nie reaguje, przy bootowaniu systemu nie wyswietlaja sie zadne komunikaty, nie moge nawet wcisnac CTRL-B. Jak moge przywrocic poprzednie dzialanie serwera? Jedyny sposob, w jaki moge otworzyc sesje, to telnet z sieci. Pzdr. Jacek

On a HP terminal the Stop key is right beside the BREAK key, IIRC. If the terminal is in Stop mode, you don't see anything on terminal screen. If this does not help, read on: Looks like the service processor (GSP) is in a strange state. The "remote" light by itself won't mean that the console is inaccessible, but all the console access goes through GSP. Switching the server off and on won't reset the GSP unless you unplug ALL the power cords for a while. However, if you can login to the server you can reset the GSP with the command: stty +resetGSP </dev/GSPdiag1 (Yes, the redirection must be that way - that's probably ancient stty magic. The GSP takes a while to reset (up to a minute). The "remote" light tells that the GSP's own LAN interface and/or modem port has been activated and the console can be accessed remotely through them. This can be very useful: through the GSP's LAN or modem interface, you can access the hardware error logs and even power-cycle the server remotely, if it should ever be necessary. When the GSP has been successfully reset, press Ctrl-B on the console keyboard to get into GSP command mode. From there you can use GSP commands to reset the GSP to a standard configuration, if necessary. All the commands are two or three letters long, "HE" is the "Help" command. Learn the use of GSP, it can be mighty useful when there's a hardware problem. [cut] Pomoglo zatrzymanie serwera i wypiecie kabli zasilajacych. Drugiego sposobu nie probowalem.
