Dziękuję bardzo, zaraz zabieram się za sprawdzenie.

Cóż, jestem dopiero "raczkującym" użytkownikiem FreeBSD i się uczę - to 
będzie nauczka, że "taki" plik istnieje i że "to się czyta".
