Mysle, ze to zainteresuje niektorych. Dodam tylko ze nie ma sensu sciaganie z wolnego sunsite.unc.edu, cale archiwum Linuxa na nim jest mirrorowane w .pl na sunsite.icm.edu.pl. URL do ponizszego narzedzia: ftp://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/pub/Linux/sunsite.unc.edu/Incoming/cccc-1.00.tgz - jwr [ Article crossposted from comp.os.linux.announce ] [ Author was T.LITTLEFAIR ] [ Posted on Thu, 25 Jan 96 20:55:24 GMT ] -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- I have just uploaded a source code for metric analyser for C and C++ to the /pub/Linux/incoming directory on sunsite.unc.edu. The file uploaded is called cccc-1.00.tgz, and it is a gzip'ed tar file. I hope that it will be moved into the /pub/Linux/devel/c++ directory within a short period of time. The analyser implements a very coarse parser, the purpose of which is to break the source code into high-level chunks like a single function body, global variable declaration, class declaration or definition etc. All analysis is then done by simple counting in the lexical analyser. I recommend it to anyone interested in the topic of software metrics, and also if you are interested in C++ parsing but don't need a thorough parse. E.g. reverse engineering applications might be find use for a parser which takes a similar high-level view and largely ignores the internals of functions except for keeping a careful count of matching braces, brackets and parentheses (which help to track when the system returns to outer scope). The implementation has been done on Linux, although I found it relatively pain-free to tweak the makefile to compile on DEC OSF/1 v3.2. The program is heavily dependent on an excellent PD compiler generator toolset called pccts, provided by a programmer called Terence John Parr and a number of collaborators, formerly at the University of Minnesota. I have also uploaded a file called pccts-1.33-linux.tgz which contains the source of pccts with slightly tweaked makefiles etc. to provide installation and environment settings consistent with the Linux filesystem standard document. This work has been done to support my thesis studies for an M.Sc., and if you retrieve the source package, you will find details of the subject of the study, and an appeal for industry sites willing to participate in my research. best wishes, and thanks to TJP and his collaborators for a great tool Tim Littlefair t.litt...@cowan.edu.au t...@mitswa.com.au -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.2i iQCVAwUBMQfkWYQRll5MupLRAQGxTQP/X+fQ/A4ASzvPRq5CxjMETLFFVQtTz30g BvNSxYdYxP5RrR6NAuSnzyYoFkeA/czxVUK/ylc9n9PiBHBdv78OihtomKdo+TgL OTI8D8SItoHFH3umHXWDbKyz10rVPks5mIMZP9otz/7WDyAYrWe6JKkgbSLzVVKR OQIeOO2JIBo= =Uw6c -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- This article has been digitally signed by the moderator, using PGP.
