Powiedzmy że jest skrypt w Perlu, który ma odbierać pocztę.
Słyszałem, że w Linuxie, aby to działało trzeba gdzieś coś ustawić,
udostępnić, czy to prawda? Jak to sprawdzić.

Chciałbym to wiedzieć, bo prawdopodobnie firma w której pracuję bedzie
kupować program AUTORESPONSEPLUS (www.autoresponseplus.com) i tam taki
warunek musi być spełniony, aby działały pewne opcje.

Testowałem pewne programy w Perlu (uruchamiane z przeglądarki), które
min.
powinny odbierac pocztę, ale mi nie działały - i to mnie martwi..., 
może
nie działały z innego powodu...

Proszę więc o pomoc.

For Emailed Subscriptions and Bounced Email Management

AutoResponse Plus can accept subscriptions through web based forms. It
can
also react to incoming email if your server has a way of piping
incoming
email through a Perl script.

For example, you may be able to do this with a .forward or .procmailrc
configuration file on Sendmail or Exim servers and .qmail files on
Qmail
servers. Check with your web host. If your server does not have this
facility, the following parts of the system will not work:

Emailed subscriptions and unsubscriptions
Automatic bounced email management
Controling AutoResponse Plus from other software

If in doubt, ask your host the following questions:

1. Can I pipe incoming email through a Perl script?
2. How would I set that up?
