Ten wątek rośnie jak na pl.soc.polityka ... :-)

Wynik byte+1 _ma_ dwa bajty. Dopiero char() lub byte() robi z tego 1 bajt.
Spróbuj :

VAR
 w :word;
 b :byte;
BEGIN
 b:=255;
 w:=b +1; writeln(w);
 w:=byte(b +1); writeln(w);
END.
