I posted this question on alt.html before, but am posting it again in hopes
of receiving additional input.

I have a client who wants a portion of their company site to permit users
to upload images for other users to view through an HTML document. These
images are not to be uploaded through an FTP program, they want it to be
looked after through the page itself. For example, clicking on a button,
typing in the file name, and having the image uploaded to a page.

For security reasons I didn't think it was possible. A response I received
last week said it was, but required extensive programming skills and a
special database server? Someone else mentioned to me that it was more
than likely possibly through a cgi-bin script or Java.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Murray.
