Witam wszystkich,

Mam sobie w swoich archiwach Delphi 2009 Ent. Okazało się że mam też jeszcze jeden program w tym napisany i nie przeniesiony do nowszych wersji.

Zaistniała konieczność jakiejś tam małej poprawki. Instaluje sobie na wirtualce Viste na to Delphi 2009 Ent i aktywuje - oczywiście informacja o przekroczeniu limitu aktywacji (tzn nawet nie, bo serwery codegear już nie działają i trzeba rejestrować przez stronę, to na stronie było info o przekroczeniu limitu).
No to standardowo - strona zwiększenia limitu, wypisane wszystko i czekam.
Dzisiaj dostaje maila od Idery:

"We received your request to increase the registration limit for your serial number xxxxxxxxxxx. Unfortunately, there is not an active support and maintenance agreement for this license. Licenses without active maintenance are not eligible for technical support and this includes increasing the registration limit for your license. 

Historically, we provided limited support for activities such as changing registration limits as a courtesy.  Going forward registration limit changes will have to be approved by Account Management (Sales or Renewals). We are working to provide a more automated way to facilitate this service in the future or eliminate the need for it altogether.

I have copied the renewals team in this email response (renewals@idera.com). Your renewals representative will be able to assist you with options to renew your support and maintenance, as well as facilitate the necessary registration increases.

Please, be advised that we will close this case #00698559. "

No brawo - żeby aktywować legalnie kupiony produkt trzeba mieć aktywną subskrypcję! Kogoś tam delikatnie mówiąc pogrzało. 

Tak więc chciałem zauważyć że Idera swoim postępowaniem na pewno nie przysporzy popularności Delphi. 

A i przy okazji marudzenia, uważajcie na jakie dane rejestrujecie ewentualnie wersję Community - proponuje jakieś fejkowe bo znam już kilka osób które musiały płacić kary i wykupywać licencje bo Idera nie może zrozumieć czegoś takiego jak jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza i nie rozróżnia działalności od osoby prywatnej.
