wyłączanie komputera

Chodzi o wyłączenie komputera. "od zawsze" robiłem to tak:

Działało na wszystkich komputerach (oczywiście w czystym DOS-ie).
Niestety, wymieniłem płytę główną na K7VT4A Pro - i lipa, nic się nie 
dzieje.
Windows za to jest w stanie wyłączyć komputer prawidłowo.

Czy ktoś zna na to rozwiązanie?
