Dear colleagues,

I just wanted to let you know that on January 19 the Unicode Technical
Committee approved my proposal
(http://www.unicode.org/L2/L2021/21039-old-polish-o.pdf) for the Old
Polish nasal vowel letter.  That means that in the next few months it
will be included in an “alpha” and “beta” version, which allow people to
comment on it, and then be officially published with the next Unicode
version in September 2021.

It will be added to Unicode at position U+A7C0 (capital letter) and
U+A7C1 (small letter) under the name “Latin capital/small letter Old
Polish O” (which sounds a bit strange but is to be understood as ‘a
variant of the letter o that is distinguished by the fact that it was
used in Old Polish’).
