I'm looking for a variant of AT-SLOW, SETSPD, or VARISLOW that will work
on my 386 box so that I can slow wing commander down to the point where I can
live through a mission in less than four or five tries. I have a 386-33
that I built for speed, and its come back to bite me. I've tried the three
programs mentioned above, and they seem to have no effect on the machine. Any
suggestions?

Some DOS-dialects ( at least COMPAQs MS-DOS, but *not* MSs MS-DOS ) have the C:\>mode speed n command where n is a number between 1 and 50, 1=sloooow and 50=fastest, so that you really can fine tune the speed of the processor. Worked just fine when I played WCI. Good luck . -- ==================================================================== I Fredric Lonngren / Mail :Fredric....@eos.ericsson.se I I Ericsson Telecom AB / Memo : ERI.ETX.ETXFLN I I EO/ETX/TX/ZH / Voice : + 48 8 719 5226 I I 126 25 STOCKOLM / Telefax : + 48 8 719 5557 I I SWEDEN / I ====================================================================
