OK, I've blown two days working on the Wolfenstein editor. I've finally figured out how the map is stored and have started working on the actual interface to edit it. As a useful by-product, the interface turns out to be a really cool map display program. So, until I finish the editor, I am going to upload this map display version. It will be called WOLFMAP.ZIP and will be located in /pub/MSDOS_UPLOADS at wuarchive.wustl.edu. (By the way, special thanks to P.G.W. Hosken for the source code for his map display program -- without that I never would have been able to make this program). I'm kind of curious as to how many people are using these programs, so if you download this send me a letter telling me what you think of it. Use WOLFENSTEIN as a subject header and send it to GDHG...@uxa.cs.uiuc.edu. If it's after 5-21-92 then don't worry about it -- I want to make sure I don't blow up my mail buffer. Hundreds of German Shepherds charge me -- I gun them down with my chain gun as dozens of guards rush me from the next room -- the air grows thick with smoke as suddenly -- @#$@#*!(*@#$) Program crashed!" -- Adventures with a Wolfenstein map editor
