Blade troubles return

I managed to get two real decent gaming sessions with Blade of Darkness
before the freeze up problem returned.
Seems my previous "fix" didn't pan out.
I now believe that DirectX 8 is possibly the problem as Deus Ex wouldn't run
either. Yup, I installed direct x 8 for Blade, got all sorts of freeze up
problems and now Deus Ex which I have played for months freezes up also.
I was using direct X 7a previously with no problem.

What are your system specs? Processor, motherboard, video card?? I have an
Athlon/Asus A7v133/RADEON system and it works perfect for me in Windows 98
SE with DirectX 8.0 installed. Actually the game installer recommends
DirectX 8, so I don't think this has anything to do with your problems.
