I have asked about war games for old people recently and after a lot of
great information from people in this group I have settled on a couple of
games to try out. I like the Panzer Elite tank sim from all of the
descriptions that I have read about it, but I am unsure if it is
beginners type game. I have order the European Air War flight sim and
was considering Panzer General II as a tank sim too. Your thoughts are
most appreciated. I am leaning to one of the Close Combat series also.
The upcoming Combat Mission game looks really neat also!

Best regards,

Re Panzer General II
Personly I would prefer the orignal Panzer General or Allied General,
Over Panzer General II Its just that i like the the way the older games play
(and look). Artillary fire ranges are less confusing too. Graphics are not
everything.
Have you checked out Talonsofts Battleground series of games? They cover
different periods in history, American Civil War, WWII, and Napoelonic Wars.
You may find them very suitable.
