Asheron's call from behind Linux Firewall?

I'm wondering if anyone has gotten Asheron's call to work from a Windows box
behind a Linux firewall?

I'm trying to help a friend get it up and running (we've gotton tons of other
games to work) and we're running into problems. He's running a 2.0.36 kernel
with ipfwadm (if ipchains works, please let me know, I'll get him to upgrade).

The problem seems to be that the game/msn-zone server changes which port it's
replying from which confuses the masq code.

i.e. the internal box talks to the server from port 9000. We see plenty of
packets come back from the server on port 9004 to the internal box port 9000.
Then, approximately when the game is going to check for updates, the server
suddenly switches so that it's packets are coming from port 9005. This happens
without the internal box requesting a connect to port 9005. What a tcpdump
shows are "port unreachable" errors on ports in the masq range (i.e. the 60,000
and up range). It appears from watching the tcpdump, that when the server
changes to port 9005, the port hits the masq port on the linux box, and when the
masq code looks in it's table map, it doesn't find a corresponding entry for
port 9005, so it rejects the packet and returns the unreachable error.

We have tried it with and without the ip_masq_*.o modules inserted as well, so
that's not it.

Any pointers would be appreciated.
