Is Falcon 3.0D OK?

So...let's get this straight.

I have Falcon 3.0c. Patch D sounds interesting, EXCEPT for these
reports about soundblasters not working and bugs etc. etc.

So what about it? Is patch D OK? Anybody else tried it and wished they
hadn't?

I had problems with my machine crashing with the D patch (but I had
run the patch on version C modified with F3MAPS). After re-installing
from the distribution disks, everything seem to work fine (I don't
have a sound blaster but a friend who does (an ATI card that emulates SBpro)
hasn't had any problems.
