I just got the Falcon patch a day or two ago from the wuarchive, and when I
tried to unzip it using the latest version of Pkware's .ZIP utils, it says:

Warning: I don't know how to handle <filename>

It says this for ALL the files. ??!!

I had no problems unpacking the Falcon 3.0D update or installing it. The only
problem is that my soundblaster card stopped working. Could not notice any
other new "features", except 3.0D in the corner of the title screen, during
my brief try-out.

So if you have a soundblaster and a 40MHz 386 you may consider not updating
to the D version or wait for the E version to fix the bugs in the D bug fix.

Maybe a new D fix will show up on wuarchive.

Nils.

I wouldn't hold your breath for patch E. I got the impression from the
SH rep on GEnie that D was the last patch that would be released. They
may include some additional fixes/enhancements with the campaign disks,
but I suspect they would rather devote their resources to the next entry
in the EBS, the F-18.

Just one correction. Latest word from Marisa (No 19) Ong, is that
A10 is back on, and F18 is off again.
I think this was a good choice. The F18 is very similar to the
F16, although it would add carrier action.
