If anyone knows where I can get a game called "Dungeon Master" for the IBM/
clone model running DOS, I'd really appreciate it. If this has been brought up
recently, excuse the stupidity. :) We just got this group on our feed. I played
it about 4-5 years ago, and it was on an Amiga (no comments on the arch, please)
If anyone has ported this game, I'd really appreciate it. If you're unsure of
what the game is like, mail me and I'll do my best to explain it.

Chad.

I'm pretty sure it was never ported to the IBM. Just the original
version on the ST, then the Amiga, then the IIgs.

When I saw B-Ball, i got excited!!!

OH! you mean baseball?????
Sheeesh! Its not hard to find a good BaseBall game on a computer. But
a much better question, is how about a good Basketball game on the comp.???
Football and hockey are of a big interest to me to. Seems like Ditka could
be promising, but graphics look kinda weak. And I havent seen a basketball
game out much, besides nintendo and Sega. Could somebody please give
me the info on any Basketball (the Real B-Ball!), football, and hockey
games out there!??????
Thanks alot.

Not true, a computer store here in town has DM in it catalog (the DOS version).
It is listed as "coming soon" but they must know what they are talking about.

Every so often I read in one of the games magazines that FTL (Dungeon Master's
creator) is porting to the PC world. I played the game (and its sequel) on
an Atari ST. FTL does not do games as their main line of work and they are
extremely picky about details, testing and so on. Dungeon Master was a year
late and so was the sequel. So don't hold your breath, but it may actually
get here some year.

By the way, Dungeon Master is also supposed to be ported to the Super Nintendo
(that courtesy of my son's magazines).

A famous german computer magazine says, it will come out here in late 1992, so
it should be out in the US probably in the summer.

Never trust catalogs...one here says something about an Ultima Underworld 2...
Well...

In an interview on Genie, Origin and Blue Sky mentioned that UW 2 would probably come
out sooner than expected. But then again...we know how schedules work.

OK, so Dungeon Master hasn't been ported. What dungeon-type games would
people recommend as being DM-like? Some of the features that I liked in
Dungeon Master were:
	- multiple characters on the team
	- being able to select and/or create the characters
	- each character had a form of personality
	- reincarnation of individual characters
	- the existence of a hint book with maps :-)

Please reply by E-mail and I'll summarize if there is interest.
