I'm currently trying to hack my way through Eye of The Beholder and have
got to level 5. I'm wondering however about how to get through the
doorway on level 4 which has the holes for different objects marked out
on either side of it? I have found most of these objects but havn't
figured out how to get through the door??

If you have only made it to level 5, then you probably haven't found most
of the gateway keys yet. In any event you may have found a few, and tho
use them you take the object in your hand that corresponds to the one
that is *missing* from the arch, and click with it on the blank space.
Note that you will not get too far by using gateways from level 5. You must
first find a way out in a more conventional manner.

I hope this helps.
