When using pctools on the file ,each character
has two pages of numbers. The first page has all the stats and the second page
has other stuff that I am not sure about.
There are four files, but all the characters stats and all the npc's are
on one file called cros.*
* = 1,2,3,4, or 5 depending on what savegame you are editing.
Here is the location for the stats of each character.
Actual Adjusted
Strength 54 68
Intelligence 56 70
Luck 58 72
Constitution 60 74
Dexterity 62 76
Charisma 64 78
Speed 66 80
Add 52
Hits taken 29
Food
Gold 32,33,34
Silver 36,37,38
Copper 40,41,42
Age 26
Exp 44,45
On second page:
Recorder number 492
The second page has one number which is at the bottom lower
right hand corner. It is the sum of all the numbers and if you want to
cheat, when you make the changes, get the difference
between the changes and add it to this number. Otherwise the game will crash.
Also, you only take the remainder of the number you have. Only the
first and second digits.
Example: You are adding two numbers together and the sum
is 1 2E.
Do not use the 1, only use the remainder 2E as the replacement
for the original number.
The number that records the sum of the characters stats is at 492.
Another example:
1.Let us say that adding all the differences equals
23 E3 1A in hex and the hex number at 492
is 01.
2.Add 01 to 23 E3 1A and the answer
is 23 E3 1B.
3.The new number at location 492 should be
1B AND NOT 23 E3 1B.
Mail me is this sounds confusing.
