I saw a post by Klaus Breuer (sp?), the author of MechWar, on rec.games.mecha the other day. Apparently the two zip files that are out are the sprite creator and one of the design modules (I think it may be a new one). He's working on v. 1.2, but it's not ready yet. I guess the sprite editor is available so people can work at designing new sprites to help him... I think he wants different symbols for all 6 facings and lying down... not sure if he also wanted same for ALL mechs or not (he may have said that, but I'm REALLY not sure). I think I heard the two files are on wuarchive, but if not I'm pretty sure they're at the BattleTech archive, in the pub/btech/zip (?) directory at soda.berkeley.edu. Hope it helps...
