When I was at Univ. of Ill, I had the opportunity to
play a cool space conquest simulation game. Now, I would
like to buy it, but can't remember the name. :( Maybe
someone can jog my memory a bit...

Here goes an attempted description...

For basic moves, there is a galaxy that is revolving, and
the player has the option of moving to a couple of close
planets.

The player gets the option of designated each planet as a
fort, iron something or other, etc. As one games money, you
can build more ships.

The ships then are "attached" to each planet...that is, when
an attacker comes to that planet, those ships are available
for combat. Each ship has its own characteristics. THere is
a huge ship that can shoot far, but can't turn fast, nor move
fast. There is a small ship that is quick, but must be close
before it can do any damage. There are other ships as well...

Oh yeah, when there is combat, the screen goes from a galactic
view, to a close-up view of the planet and the ships orbiting the
planet trying to kill each other.

There are goodies on some of the planets that you can pick up
by claiming the planet for yourself. Such as, turbo engines,
etc.

This game was running in VGA I believe.

Ok, that about does it...anybody know which game I am talking about?
Didn't see it the last time to the computer store.

THanks
Mike
