As to how to fix it, I'm not sure, other than >to be sure you got lots of save games. (I think I had an entire bag of >stuff dissappear once!) I've been playing Ultima 7 extensively lately and found that the "vanishing keys" problem isn't only restricted to keys. Although it seems most of the missing objects were keys, I also had about 30 lockpicks vanish as well as some food and other useless objects. Unfortunately the keys aren't so useless and you could get in big time trouble missing some of them. The only solution I found was to keep ALL of the keys (or other valuables) kept in a bag in one character's inventory and ALWAYS keep a count. Save your games a lot and it shouldn't be a problem. One thing that I discovered was that it only seems to happen at night when you sleep in the wilderness. I begain to suspect it was because of theives, but this seems too unfair to be the reason. I never slept in any Inns, perhaps that would keep the problem away (?). I finally finished that ^&$@! game, so if anyone needs any tips, drop me a line. ========================================= == Adam ad...@mentor.cc.purdue.edu == == Pletcher "I am the cat!" - Ren == =========================================
