Well, thanks to everyone for the flood of help I got for UU.
I've now solved the game and can get on track for finals. (Yeah right)

My complications were the result of, um, (how does one put this) slaughtering
creatures I mistook as unfriendly. Its a good thing usenet was around to
help, ... otherwise I would have had to resort to a hint book (argh! - $$$)

All things considered... UU was a fairly easy and relatively brief adventure.
Granted, I remember Ultima 1 which wasn't exactly too detailed... but for
some reason I guess I was expected more from UU in terms of levels and plot.
It would have been nice if there was some sort of "random dungeon" with more
items and more monsters. The 16th character level limit was lame as well.

It would be nice to see a fantasy RPG on the market which didn't have a
cut and dry beginning/end. Something like UU with an editor... design
your own creatures/levels/items. I get sick of paying $80 for something that
lasts a month and just becomes a "neat demo" after that. The engine is
there to drive more levels... different monsters... etc.

Oh well...

Ben
