Apple... 

Lets face it. Corporations often take on the philosophies of their
leaders/creators. 

Gates was a paranoid power-monger with an inferiority complex that
gets his jollies out of cramming inferior products down the idiots
throats and laughing all the way to the bank while they are forced to
pay him to fix his bugs. To this day gates wants more and more power
and marketshare - not better products.

Jobs was more the artist trying to make something "insanely great" and
in the process made a product that people wanted. He ended up with
more money than he needed - but still focused on better products and
new ideas. Artists (and apple) certainly have their weak-points - like
failing to mainstream or follow though - but at least they are
contributing something to society.

I agree.... that is why I buy the best tool for the job. In my case
the Mac. In about 80% of the homes it should be the Mac.
