Hi there !

I've got a problem with the wonderful game "The 7th Guest" and my  
SoundBlaster 16.

Whenever there is played digitized speech, there is a very disturbing
noise ('clack, clack, clack, ...'; maybe 600 times per minutes), except  
the starting and ending sound.

Unfortunately I'm very familiar with this sound, because I heard it  
thousands of times when writing a small game with SoundBlaster/Pro support  
on my SB16. It seems, that the 16bit card is not 100% compatible with the  
8bit cards :-(((.

I've installed T7G as follows:

Music Card: Adlib  (when selecting SoundBlaster or SB Pro 1/2, the          
                    installer automatically sets SB Pro2 for music and      
                    speech and you cannot change the speech card :-( )
Speech Card: Soundblaster (when selecting SB Pro 1/2, the speech is too     
                           soft :-( )

My card has standard setup except IRQ is set to 7.

I'm quite sure, that this has nothing to do with IRQ-, DMA- or Port- 
Address conflicts (but tried IRQ 5 and 10 anyway :-)).

Is there anyone who had the same problem and solved it ?
Does anybody have an email address to contact Virgin Interactive  
Entertainment ?
Is there an update of the T7G engine (I've got Version 1.2) ?
Do I have to throw the 2 CD-ROMs away and forget that T7G has ever crossed  
my path ?
Do I have to buy a better (or even good) sound card ?
Is Creative Labs unable to be compatible with its own products ?
What is the question, when '42' is the answer ?

I would be very happy if you can answer one of these (the first three :-))  
questions.
