Sure, sure.

Dweebon flew 'em up high - picking on heavy US iron in the upper
atmosphere - and then bailing if cornered.

Part of their allure is probably due to the remodelling of how
flaps work. Most planes now have only 1 or 2 flap settings instead
of all the fine adjustmenst we used to. So dumping flaps and going
round and round just ain't as easy as it used to was. The Zeke
can still turn on a dime without flaps, so for the pinball wizards
its the preferred ride.

The Zeke will be quite popular when real-time online play becomes
standard (we're testing this now) along with the realism effects
(spins, black-outs, etc.). That little rice-paper thing just keeps
going round and round long after everything else stalls out. Not
fast enough to get out of its own way, of course. If we get 2X
lethality to go with real-time, the Zeke will die a lot to people
who can shoot well at high speed. A lot.

We're working on that. We may have figured out why the Fw bleeds
energy so bad in a zoom. On the other hand, the Me109F (now in place
instead of the putrid G6 version) is very handy. Outclimbs the Sh*tfire
and is real tough to make spin out. With the new rudder code in
the betas we're testing, its possible to do the Luftwaffe Stomp in
a 109 and kill Spits.

Horde Warrior - which B-land specialized in - seems to have spread
to other climes. I think once the per-hour rate drops to $3 in July
you'll see people fly when they want instead of on assigned nights.
Squad nights won't be such a financial necessity once it becomes
more affordable to fly.

There are a ton of dweebs around now. Everywhere. Can't swing a
dead cat without hitting one. I'm hoping the reduced rates and getting
real-time flight will attract some of the old timers back to the
game.

|> And lastly when did they drop ELO/Pilot rating?

Over a year ago - thank Gawd.

When it was still allowed I reset mine each time it hit 1500.
Did that at least 3 or 4 times. Hated having that big ELO sitting
there as the higher it got, the less you got per kill. If you
had to work to stay around 1500, you musta really sucked. ;->

Not sure Vesper is still around.

By the way - look for the P47 and Hellcat in the next version.
Expect scenarios to resume when the July rate change kicks in.
There will be a new twist too - actually, hopefully a couple:
real-time flight and reduced visual range. You gonna get BOUNCED.
