🚀 go-pugleaf

I know I'll feel like an idiot once somebody sets me straight, ...
   but what the heck am i supposed to do?

i found the moving platform/whatever that the first orb shows you...
    When i passed it, i got into a room with red walls and a hostile
    brain creature.

    The first time i got into this room, the floor was black, and in
    the far corner, there appeared to be a yellowish moongate sunken
    into the floor...I couldn't use it!

    I cast reveal, and searched the walls and found nothing

    I left in frustration.
    I later found a square that changes colors (I forget where...
    i could really use automapping on this level) after standing on it
    a while, with no apparent change, i left.

    I went back to the room beyond the moving platform...the floor was 
    yellow....no moongate...

    I've also found a moongate or two which take me into a rather dark
    room with yellow platforms forming a sort of path...stairs...
    Couldn't find anything interesting here, either...

    Any hints?  solutions?  anything?
