I don't have Microsoft Golf, but I have talked to Access about the product and
my impressions are that Microsoft Golf is basically Links (the old version) for Windows.  
LInks 386 is a newer product with SVGA graphics (which I don't THINK M$ Golf has)  If you
have the horses I highly recommend Links386
It has several nice features that Links doesn't have but which M$ Golf may (or may not)

1) You can save shots to see later
2) You can record entire games and replay them later thus enabling you to
	play against friends by mailing copies of games to each other.  You
	can also play against yourself.
3) You can set up several windows on the screen.  Mine is set up to see the regular
	front "3-d" view on the left side and the right side has two panes, one with
	the reverse view from the green and the other with the overhead view of thee
	course.
4) Sound board support
