Mike,
There's no two ways about it.  This is a "skill" mission.  You _have_ to be able to shoot.

1.  Take out shuttles 1-4.  Use up to four missiles in doing so if you must.  Double-linked  
missiles will take out a shuttle, as will one missle followed by linked lasers.
2.  Take out any ties.
3.  Disable Kappa 5.
4.  Head toward the now on-coming T/I reinforcements.  Note that since their mission is to destroy  
the rescue shuttle, they will _not_ stop to fight you.  They will fly by you if you let them, so  
DON'T let them.
5.  Since they will ignore you until you attack, head toward them just off center until you have  
visual contact then turn into them gracefully.  This will bring you within .5 klicks of them on  
their flank with them in a line.
6.  Shoot good and you can take two of them out before they scatter.  The third will get by.  Use a  
missile on him.  (I usually lock the target computer on one, then laser the other two.  That way I  
know where the third is when I'm ready to turn on him.)
7.  Repeat six as necessary.

Note:  If you can, just put hull damage on one T/I.  This will force him to limp back to the SD,  
and will delay launching of the next trio.
