A long time ago, on a UNIX far, far away there was a game called Robots 2. It was a simple curses based game that allowed you to type in a control/motion key and obediently moved the robots only after the keypress. And thus was the Robots Protocol observed. But then, along came a devious programmer who by deceit and intrugue took over the Robots2 history, completely violating the Robots Protocol revamping the game into a far more potent fast-paced real-time version of the original. The world has never been the same since. Thus came Robots3 into being -- a color, VGA compatible game that executes in real time. No more relaxed pace and taking your time, these critters are nasty and they'll come after you relentlessly. They chase you, that's ALL they do! They won't stop until you're dead! Both Robots3 and its predecessor (Robots2) are available in both source and executable form by anonymous FTP at csd4.csd.uwm.edu in the directory pub and packaged as robots3.zip using (pk)zip/unzip. You will need a VGA compatible monitor for this. The source can be compiled with the Quick C version 2.5 C compiler.
