I have been playing Ultima Underworld for a little while now, and have had a
couple of problems with my inventory.  If this has been discussed previously,
my apologies, as I have just started reading this newsgroup.

The most serious problem was rather strange... several items disappeared, while
a new item, whose picture was 4 letters arranged like so:   SP
                                                            EL
appeared.  It was described as a "spell", and when I used an identification
spell on it, it said it was a spell of "remove trap".  I had found no such
thing and do not know where it came from.  At the same time, the contents of my
backpack were duplicated inside a small pouch in the backpack, not including th
small pouch itself.  Fortunately, I was able to go back to a saved point before
this occurred, as I had lost important items.

The second problem is with things disappearing from my inventory.  No fuss, no 
muss, just gone.  This is rather annoying.  If anyone can help me, I would 
appreciate it.

P.S.: The "spell" item in the first glitch could be used to limitlessly cast
the spell of the same name..
