I happened across this in another forum: http://ardigames.com/games/Imperial_Domination_II.php. Roman grand stategy in the Total War genre (each province has one city, and you build improvements in them), with turn-based tactical combat. Simple (and rather muddy and dark in coloration) graphics. In tactical combat you move units in a 4x6 or so grid on the battlefield, you cannot move all your units every time, and flanking and positioning seem to play a role. And there's a demo.

You're right, it's really a mini-TW style game : strategic, with a tactical component. Will need a lot of work though, especially in the graphics department. Greetz, Eddy Sterckx
