The never ending peace treaty that can only be broken by a nuclear
strike! Still enjoying the game though and I'm now going to start my
next game with a cultural victory in mind ... anybody got any tips?

Hey there, i have read www.gamefaqs.com discussion board and they recommend
archipelago maps for cultural victory as AI is slow to do naval research and
will only become bothersome at late game phase. So that gives you a lot of head
start in building cultural things.

It's a bug where a peace treaty is supposed to last 10 turns but never
expires so you can't attack them. Luckily I was well into the game and
wasn't that far off finishing the Manhattan project ... then it was
nukes away. Now I've got the bug where I'm told every bloody turn that a
peace treaty has expired!

I've gone for Earth for that reason and as long as you don't neglect
your military then you should be ok ... still had to fend off Ceaser
though and I'm concerned that either him or China will end up taking
most of the map and then looking towards me.

My understanding is that the only way to "provoke" a war is by the use
of nukes ... which was fun :-)

Now onto a cultural victory and it's going well except that Caesar wants
to attack China, China already has riflemen (only just getting to musket
men myself) and I'm stuck right in the middle.
