GDI 1-3 are easy, GDI #4 is a bitch but I finally got through it, but GDI #5 is so damn hard. NOD seems to have an infinite supply of tanks and the ones I started with slowly got destroyed and I cannot create any more of them! Has anyone gotten through this? What was your strategy? After fixing up the GDI basecamp did you immediately attack the NOD basecamp or wait a little while? I thought it would be best if I waited but now I am not sure. NOD keeps sending small raiding parties to both sides of the camp and there is always a tank involved. Because the tanks I started with are gone I have to send 5 grenadiers just to kill one tank and that takes forever. It really sucks that I cannot manufacture more tanks Anybody have any good advice on this one? Terrific game! -Paul

On mission #5, I sat down in basecamp, and just kept making grenadiers. Once I had two teams of ten each, I sent one up through the middle of the map, and the other up the right side (to flank the enemy). When I gave the order, both sides converged on the enemy camp. When you have 10 or so grenadiers all firing at the same enemy vehicle, you get a constant cascade of grenades on the enemy, and he won't last too long.

Take your tanks and rocket launchers (after getting your base all nice and set up) and go straight north from your base. You'll be able to get on a ridge n/e of the NOD base. Put your various tanks up there and start blowing away the NOD base.

I think I laid back, set up a couple of Hum-vees and APC's with Grenadiers and Grunts on the West entrance near the bridge. They would nail anything coming over from that direction. >From the North I had the two tanks (which quickly were eliminated) and whatever grenadiers and APC's I had. Then, I finally made a quick strike and took out his harvester which perhaps helped. Then I made a two-strike effort from E and S on his base and wiped him out. In fact, I never used the airstrikes because I forgot about the SAM site S of their base. Maybe i was lucky as hell because it only took one chance...Mission 6 took me a good many tries to win. The biggest problem I had was knowing WHAT THE HELL TO DO! Jees, the video tells you less then nothing (just get in there...static...and out). I finally survived that one and am now on Mission 7... -Craig

Whatever your do don't lose your tanks and make sure to save the game a lot! Surround your tanks with Humvees and/or APCs and create lots of grenadiers. Man, what carnage! -Paul

I didn't find this one too hard. Having played Dune II, I know that both sides get stronger starting forces than what they can build, therefore I assumed that NOD's supply of light tanks was limited. I was right. I spent a lot of time wiping out the light tanks one by one. Once that was done they only had buggies. I also blew up their harvester, which in the early levels makes NOD powerless. (They can't get another one.) I then grabbed a crate full of 2000+ credits and built three APCs and fifteen grenadiers. I still had both of my medium tanks, albeit badly damaged, and I attacked. Once I took out the turrets I went for the Hand of NOD, and then they were doomed. Carlin markcln@on-ramp
