Question about quality of "Definitive Wargame Collection"

There is a wargame collection (distributed by SSI?) that is called something
like "Definitive Wargame Collection." It has more than ten different
wargames, including Tanks!, SSG games, and other.

Since it retails for only $29, I was tempted to pick up a copy, but I'm
worried that it may just be a bunch of crappy games.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

Tim

A lot of the games (particularly the SSG games and Tanks!) are really,
really good. The SSG games in particular remain some of the finest
wargames ever produced for the computer (also, quick and easy to play,
realistic, etc.). But it.

Don't believe the box when it says there are 40 extra scenarios for Tanks and 26 extra for Battles of Napoleon.
There are far fewer on the actual disc. So far SSI have not sent out the missing scenarios as they promised, and many people are
feeling ripped off.
I suggest you give it a miss on this principle alone.
David.

Well if you have been following this newsgroup, you would know that
NovaGames are sending out the extra scenarios that SSI said were on the CD.

So to the person who first ask the question, buy the CD, fill out the card
and you will get the added scenarios.

Spend the $29, it will be the best $29 you ever spent. If you like
wargames. Tanks alone is worth $29. Make sure you D/L the latest patch for
this game. There are some crap games in it. But most are good to great
games.

Check for old messages in this newsgroup for a review of this CD. It goes
into each game just about.
