And why is that?

Yet you are, you just mask it as...

That's nice. I suppose you think I've never ever recommended ostwo, eh?
Not even warped, huh?

I don't know where we're getting, but I addressed this point in another
message. To prevent a tech support nightmare, MS probably won't release
bug fixes in a product that, by MS's own recommendation, not everybody
should buy and which would be different from the regularly release bug
patches. It's as simple as that. (Tech support question: "Which version
of the CSD do you have, the version on the Plus! Pack, the version
released on CD, or the version released by Joe's Computing Plus Pack CD
Company? They're all different, you see...")

Ah, that's your proof! MS advocates are saying it's not, so it must be
so! Well, maybe. Here another point from this "MS advocate": os2's
gonna do *real* well after August 24! For that matter, ostwo is doing
real well *now* (I saw a software store with a large display about Windows
95 urging customer to "place your order now"; In addition, it made front
page news on the recent edition of USA Today, go figure!)

(Why anyone would deny the Plus! pack would contain bug fixes when
Microsoft has said it plans to release bug fixes for Windows 95 is beyond
me; I just think you're blowin' smoke.)

As of this weekend I noticed the biiggies (Like Best Buys) are
including this in their ads. "Buy any computer and get a free Windows
95 Upgrade"
Fine Print says that upgrade will be available in around the end of
August.

On the other hand Micro Center is stuck with several pallets of WARP
that hasn't sold. When I asked their sales force about NT 3.51 they
tried to sell me WARP. When I asked about W95 they tried to sell me
WARP. <grin>

Privately several who know me got me aside and said that they are
under orders not to talk about W95! All are schedualed to go to
classes about W95 shortly. Another said he didn't understand why their
NT books were two years outdated when they had several bookshelves
crammed with WARP "How to's that haven't sold". He said he daily gets
reamed out for not having NT resources and books. They even have NT
3.5 resource kit for $99 and none in stock. Someone in management made
a very bad decesion and the grunts on the floor are taking the flack
from the public.

WARP-> deserves a BLUE * award for name
OS/2-> only half an PC OS the Windows 95 compatible part is missing

If you have a look at Win9x after seeing OSes on other platforms it is
obvious that the only true feature that it has over anything else is
simply hype.

How on earth can anyone even consider running the useless piece of ****
known as Win9x when there is a product of such merit as OS/2 to compete?

The answer is simple - ignorance.

After seeing and using Win95 I must say that it is a big improvement over
WFWG but it is still lacking heaps. People talk of WNT but it is still
not appropriate for the average user when specs are taken into account.
It is the best OS which MS have produced though. Then again many people
who worked on VMS worked on WNT. Incidently, if you shift the letters of
VMS across one letter in the alphabet what three letters do you have? (
In case you are a hardcore windows user and lack the grey matter to work
it out, the answer is WNT. )

How on earth can anyone even argue about which OS is best (or in Win95's
case will be the best) on the Intel platform when the field is such?

Only people who have never seen anything but windows can, but then again
these poor creatures have never really seen anything.
