A very valid and true argument. It is about time newsgroup = users realised that they are not playing a computer game when they post = to newsgroups, they are writing to real people. Arguing/debating with = someone about an issue is great, insulting people as part of your = argument really is pointless and only serves to make the insulter look = silly. 'Hey I disagree with what you say so therefore you're a = slimeball' Grow up... <shrug> -- If you have any reply or comments to make about this posting please could you send E-mail to me, ste...@itl.net. TDFX has been trading in fairly high volume - 181,000 shares were traded today, the daily was 300,000-500,000 every day last week. The price hasn't fluctuated much since the first day. How, exactly, are a handful of newsgroup denizens (primarily game groups, mind you, and not one finance-related group) going to push the stock value at all? I don't know if this fellow's details were accurate, but the WSJ did, in fact, make an error. I'm also not entirely sure how unethical it is to encourage people to invest in a security for personal gain or any other reason. People do that all the time. Companies do it themsleves. What is wrong with this person saying, "Buy this security. Because of x, I believe it is undervalued and will correct soon."? You might not, for whatever reason, want the person as your personal financial advisor, but I don't see how that makes him or her a 'slimeball'.
